Compression Molding The process of a material as it’s squeezed into a desired shape by heat and the pressure to the material in a mold. Other materials are added to strengthen or alter the qualities of the finished product. It’s during the heated faze the mold is closed the thermosetting is altered and eventually hardens into the shape of the mold. Lastly, this technique uses a vertical press instead of a horizontal one commonly used with as with injection molding and blow molding. |
